Ariane Schwartz

Research Associate

Ariane Schwartz (Ph.D. Harvard) is Assistant Editor, I Tatti Renaissance Library. She specializes in Latin literature set within a wider study of cultural and intellectual history, the classical tradition, and the history of reading and sociology of texts. She is currently writing a book on the reception of the Roman poet Horace in early modern Europe. She is the co-founder and co-president of the Society for Early Modern Classical Reception (SEMCR), an affiliate group of the Society for Classical Studies.
